Conflict Sensitivity in Approaches to Preventing Violent Extremism

To prevent violent extremism, good intentions are not enough.

This paper is intended to raise the discussion about the need for a conflict-sensitive approach to PVE. It highlights the importance of considering conflict sensitivity not only at the micro-level of programmes and projects, but also at policy and strategic decision-making levels.

The paper is written by Anita Ernstorfer and draws upon discussions at the Amman Forum for Measuring, Assessing and Monitoring PVE, June 2019.
