The differences between Buddhist and Muslims in understanding are spreading throughout online and offline space. There is evidence of an increase in extremist ideas and a decrease in religious tolerance in Thai society. It is therefore important to understand the origin, causes and factors that perpetuate this problem in order to create strategies to prevent the situation from escalating to the point of violence.
